The Old School, a grade II listed building built in 1846, was fully restored by the Parish Council in 2018/19 and retains many of its original features, including the impressive Hammer Beam ceiling. The provision of additional facilities to bring the building up to modern standards, has resulted in a light and airy characterful venue, ideal for a multitude of community uses, and private hiring.
Hall features two rooms: 1) Main hall can be utilised as an open space for activities such as exercise classes, or can be laid out with comfortable modern chairs and folding tables. This room can be isolated from the smaller function room and kitchen area by shutting the glazed dividing partition (10.53m Long X 5.46m Wide = 57.49sqm). 2) Kitchen (3.77m Long X 3.2m Wide = 12.06sqm) / dining area (5.46m Long X 7.04m Wide = 38.44sqm)
The kitchen is fully stocked with a range of crockery, cutlery, and glass wear to suit all occasions. Appliances include an oven and hob with extractor, fridge, kettle, microwave, and commercial dishwasher. Fibre broadband / Wi-Fi is available throughout the building, with a projector and AV equipment available for use in the main hall. The hall also has an Alcohol licence, and parking is available a short distance away
