Berwick St John Village Hall is in a Conservation Area and the Cranborne Chase National Landscape. It serves as the social hub of the village acting as a venue for many events such as exercise classes, quizzes, talks and suppers.
The main hall has a stage and there is an additional meeting room, a kitchen and a licensed bar. The cloakroom facilities include a disabled toilet. There is parking and disabled access.
MAIN HALL: The main hall (14m x 6.8m) has a wooden floor, curtains, a stage and a small hatch opening on to the licensed bar. The hall can accommodate up to 100 people seated at tables (Tables and chairs provided) and 160 people for a standing function. The hall has an excellent sound system and a large projector screen with a projector accessible remotely from a laptop.
MEETING ROOM: The meeting room (5m x 3m) has a large table which can seat at least 12people. WiFi available.
KITCHEN: The hall has a large catering kitchen with two full size cookers, a warming cabinet, fridge, freezer and double sink. There is a large selection of saucepans, trays, bowls etc and sufficient crockery and cutlery for 100 place settings. Two large portable units provide a large, flexible worktop area for preparing and serving food.
BAR: The hall has a fully licensed bar with a selection of glasses, a glass washing machine, two fridges, and a sink.
OUTDOOR SPACE: There is an enclosed children’s playground accessible from the hall and an outside courtyard/patio space, also accessible from the hall, perfect for BBQs
