Wilcot Village Hall is the 1840 building that was the school until 1969. It lies in the green heart of the village, between the Green and the cricket pitch. Fully refurbished in 2017-18, it’s now an intimate, welcoming hall, with warm lighting and good heating.
It has two rooms in an L-shaped arrangement, its own toilets (with nappy-changing facilities) and a kitchen. It is fully accessible. Wi-fi and AV facilities can be provided by arrangement. It has its own carpark, and a protected infants play area.
The Village Green, which can be hired with the hall, has a children’s play area, and is large enough for football or other matches, fairs and fetes. The cricket pitch can be hired by arrangement. There are changing rooms with showers.
The village’s rich and fascinating history is well-documented (and available for research by arrangement), and the hall is the perfect place from which to explore it.
The hire charge is £8 per hour. This covers use of the entire hall and the car park and play areas, and electricity use is included. Wi-fi and AV equipment can be provided by arrangement.
AV equipment, parking, kitchen, sports facilities, changing rooms, play area, meeting rooms, showers, wi-fi available by arrangement, disabled access, outside area.
