ABOUT UPAVON VILLAGE HALL
Upavon Village Hall provides excellent facilities for parties, events and meetings and hosts regular groups and activities. It has capacity for 50-80 with a small stage and well-equipped kitchen and has recently been redecorated inside and outside to give it a bright and fresh look. Parking is in the road outside the hall or in the village.
The Hall was built in 1911 and opened as a Reading Room to celebrate the coronation of George V. It was built on land donated by William Howard Romyn Alexander. The hall is run as a charity and managed by a voluntary committee who are responsible for the maintenance and letting of the hall, as well as organising fund-raising events.
The booking diary is held by Lesley Dolan. Please email Lesley at email@example.com or call 01980 630 191. The rates are £7 per hour for Upavon residents (including Trenchard Lines) and £8 per hour for non-residents. There are reduced rates of £1 per hour for a block booking of 7 sessions or more.
Facilities include a flexible open area with a polished wooden floor (measuring 20ft X 63ft), chairs to seat 80 which can be arranged as required. Tables are also available. There is a fully fitted kitchen, including crockery and cutlery (for 50 people) and pans. There are Gentlemans and Ladies toilets and a small stage area. Disabled access is available through the side door and fire exits include all three doors, one of which is at the rear of the building.
