A Little History

The village hall was built in 1911 and given to the village by Lord Ernest St Maur (Somerset family name) in memory of his brother, Lord Percy. During the First World War it was used as a military hospital and has murals on the walls dating from that time. It retains it’s heritage ambience as well as being well maintained to modern-day standards. There is a ‘History Corner’ in the hall for those who are interested in discovering more.
