Welcome to our historic village hall in picturesque village of West Dean, located by the River Dun on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border. The history of the hall, written in the history trail, tells the story of its origin at the turn of the 19th century as a milk factory, before becoming a mess hall for the USA army in the second world war and finally being gifted to the village in 1945 for use as a village hall.
This recently renovated hall is operated as a charity and enjoyed by the community where many events are hosted. Being conveniently located by the railway station with parking, the hall has catering facilities, stage, large hall, WiFi and holds a PRS license (music events).
King George Hall has a backup generator and acts as an emergency community centre, fully equipped to
give support during floods and power cuts.
The hall has parking spaces for 12 cars with overflow car park by request. The train station has an hourly service to Salisbury and Southampton.
